JP Perry Insurance is rapidly approaching its 60th anniversary. JP Perry Jr. founded the agency that bears his name in 1954. JP grew up on a farm in Lake City, FL about an hour from Jacksonville. After a year in Italy in 1945, compliments of the US Army, Sgt Perry attended the University of Florida where he earned a law degree in 1951. After Law School, JP worked in the claims department of Travelers Insurance Company until starting his own agency as a Travelers agent in 1954. JP’s son, Joe, joined the agency in 1975 and Joe’s daughter, Kate, has recently become the 3rd generation to participate in the family business along with a great team of 35 other insurance experts.
